@fugehdehyou I agree, one of the few things i liked better about the original...the heart to hearts were my favorite parts......
-
Assassins creed 1 was probably more tense and harder than AC2, however I liked AC2 a lot more.
However escaping the cities in AC1 required some skill and it wasn't always easy.

I'M WATCHING a bunch of AC videos to get altair quotes with which to make my next video: Altair plays halo reach :)

@RikimaruTheHulk thank you for the spoiler .... Spoiler alert: quote:As for Desmond's and Lucy's relationship, she merely reveals that she's an assassin & double agent at the end. :))

i miss these sort of insightfull conversations in AC2 and brotherhood :*(

Excluding the repetitiveness of the scouting missions, I find Assassin's Creed to be superior to the latter ones. I enjoyed the plot more, the character development, the creativity needed for assassinations, and the dialogue between Altair and his foes. The moral discussions of how to keep order are far greater than Ezio stabbing someone, saying "rest in peace," and running off to stab another. At the end of each kill, you begin to think "Is this really a good thing?"

man I love that hidden blade

I though he said Batman Batman Batman is a killer!

THAT GUY GOT STABBED 20 TIMES IN THE WHOLE TORSO AREA ( Arms,Chest,Back), he should've died like the first 3 cuts!

why do all the characters have an accent and altair is the only speaks standard american english?
So I started the series with AC2 and I just completed Brotherhood. I would like to get the story that I missed with Altier. How playable is the orginal game? It's mainly the story that I'm looking for. Thanks~

The biggest complaint with AC1 (which they fixed in the sequel) was the repetitiveness of the the missions. Every single assassination required you to first complete a minimum of the most mundane tasks (such as pickpocketing and eavesdropping), which are realistic things that an assassin would've had to do, but realism isn't always fun. Seriously, after you've sat on a bench and eavesdropped on a 6-minute conversation for the umpteenth time, you're like, "crap, just let me stab somebody." (cont)

(2) However, the assassinations themselves (of the main targets) allowed for much more creativity and experimentation, which is one thing that I didn't like about AC2. I think the game took me about 11 hours, which was actually about 2/3 unskippable dialog. If it's story you're interested in, you'll get it for sure. The gameplay mechanics are highly comparable to AC2; not much changed there. My suggestion would be to rent instead of buying it though.

@RikimaruTheHulk I appreciate your feedback and I have one more question for you. How important is the the connecting story? It seems like Abstergo would be explained a bit more and I interested of Desmond and Lucy's orginal involvment. Thanks again!~

Hmm, that's a tougher question. Clearly I cannot say that the first game offers *no* additional insight, but the sequel does pretty much sum up and recap the concept of the Animus and Abstergo's intentions. As for Desmond's and Lucy's relationship, she merely reveals that she's an assassin & double agent at the end. The majority of AC1's story is Altair's; it doesn't focus on the present nearly as much as AC2. You're not missing much.
