This is a first in a new series of ours, called Roundtable Discussions. We pick a topic, and our panel of artists chops it up. The panel consists of: Jon Black, Renzo, Wes Coas, Nasty Nique, Dirty Dog D, and MoCity Menis, with Wes Coas as moderator. The topic for this discussion is Originality in Hip-Hop.

It originated from a conversation me and Jon Black where having about originality in Hip-Hop, due to an incident that happened in the Houston underground hip-hop scene. Jon was very into it, and I thought it would make for a great talk on camera. So we decided on a panel, and put things in motion.

We chose to host this Roundtable Discussion at Screwed Up Tapes & Records, the original screw shop founded by DJ Screw. I thought it would be good to have the discussion on Originality in Hip-Hop, at the symbol of originality in hip-hop in Houston.

  • Smart intelligent idea, there is strength in numbers and collaborations of different style creates new sounds......

I'm and Irish man and most definitely not a hip-hop artist.... I'm an ambient electronic nerd. However, I'm going to work with a brilliant underground Philly hip-hop artist called IAMISEE and we'll see what we cook up!

Best of luck, you're an intelligent bunch of gents doing the right thing.

    Take care,

    Ciaran

  • @CiaranPaulRoche Appreciate the comment man. And nothing wrong with being an 'ambient electronic nerd', ha. It's all about producing quality music you believe in. Feel free to email us what ever you end up cookin up with the Philly artist, would love to hear it. Especially with the electronic influence.

  • Thnks for sent me! :D

  • @QuetMarcocota These subjects are more about the music scene. I'm sure they have places that touch on your subjects.

  • @renzocur Thank you. Id like to hear a discussion on the prevention of child sex abuse in our neighborhoods. I think if we are more talkative we can reduce it. It is always someone we trust and know who does the abuse. I think a discussion that tells people how to talk to others in our neighborhoods will make these people more aware and help prevent sex abuse. In every case it has been someone we know, I think we could have prevented it if we had been more openly talking to each other. Thanks!

  • @diradin This is Renzo from the discussion. My upbringing is the thing that allows me to make music. My education helped me culture myself and become more relatable to people who didn't grow up with me. Great question.

  • @QuetMarcocota This is Renzo from the video. Can you be more specific about which part of sex abuse you wish to know more about? Sex abuse in general is a bad thing and can come in all forms. Please elaborate.

  • Good video!!:D

    "Thumbs Up";D

  • KNOWLEDGABLE!
