This video is of a few tricked out bo staff runs. Footage was shot on the Indiana University campus, in Bloomington. Music selection: Giggledropz by Dave Ralph on the first disc of his Naturalized album. Enjoy the tricks and be extra careful if you attempt this yourself because it can potentially prove to be quite injurious (the head and elbows are very easy targets for a madly spinning bo staff). The staffs used are, a four foot broomstick and a five foot ten pound Bo Staff.

  • You are allmost ready for the glee club.

  • Cool, I'll see you there!

  • I watch this vid for the song. I used to own Naturalized. Great album.

  • I enjoy it as well. Sorry that it's not in higher quality. I'll post this in HD because of your comment in a few weeks. It is shot and edited in 1080i... check plus!

    Peace

  • if you found a karate club you could actually be taught the real moves, its just that you're style as "stuntman" doesn't really go well with bo staff. i recommend joining a club or learning with someone who knows, then buying an XMA brand bo and making up a kata. great work though i certainly couldnt teach myself all those moves

  • Thank you for the advice!

This presentation of my skills is very outdated, now even the video responses above are outdated, but if you want to see some progression I would recommend seeing one of those. Take care!

  • That's a jo staff

  • He is doing the same move all the time... boring.

  • I'm not running you down , because it looks very cool and fancy but I am 13 and 5.3 and I use a 6 ft graphite b which is quite heavy but I do shotokan Japanese traditional karate(funokoshi style) ! So I think for you to improve you should add some more strikes , bocks , kicks and stances to make it look more martial arty but otherwise good :)

  • you'd just get punched in the face in real combat...

Honestly I would have to drop my staff an go hand to hand out of pity...

  • joli cour de baton

  • that's not a bo staff. traditional bo staffs are 6 feet, so unless you are actually 8 feet tall...learn about what you are using before you make videos of it. it looks more like a jo staff like mentioned earlier.

  • That is some pretty amazing stuff, not only are you good at spinning it in your hand and around your shoulder, but you can do it perfectly on both sides. These moves are really hard to learn for the average bo staff fighters, and it takes some skill to perform the same moves on both sides of the body, well done. All you need to do is take it up to the next level, add other tricks, I noticed in this video that you were doing the same thing every time, add other tricks, make up some, Well done!

  • My cousin Debbie was a majorette and on the cheer squad.

  • @Samuel032593 yea they are ALOT lighter. just go to centurymartialarts com and look through the bo staffs they are almost all really light ones so be careful not to get a crappy one like i did once.

  • hey im trying to start up a YouTube Bo Tricking team send me a message if you wanna join for details.
