Hi.
Today I`m going to review the highly anticipated Dragon Ball Z: Tenkaichi Tag Team for PSP console.
Let's start right away, shall we?
Graphics: Without a doubt DBZ:TT has one of the best and most polished Graphics Engines that I have ever seen in PSP games.
Textures, Environment and Visual Effects all look astonishing.
Physics are very well made as well.
Unlike Shin Budokai 2, visual effects doesn't look outdated. For example the Lighting Effects around Super Saiyans previously in Shin Budokai 2 didn't look exactly like... Lighting. Here in DBZ:TT you can see extremely huge improvements.
Overall I give the Graphics of this game 10 out of 10.
Sound & Music: In this review I used the japanese version of the game. So this would surely be different in the english version.
Well as most of the DBZ games out there, sounds are very well made with voices from the Anime series.
Musics are excellent. Very well done and match the high speed battles of the game.
Overall I give the Sound & Music of this game 9 out of 10.
Gameplay: Well, this is the main point of any video game.
I`m going to go simple here. This game rocks once you get used to the controls (Yes it's very different Shin Budokai series) and learn how to do combos and chases.
I saw that some people are complaining about the movement with the Analog Stick. Well I was afraid of that too to be honest, but once I played the game I didn't feel any problem at all.
Gameplay is indeed amazing in this game. Characters have very different Super and Ultra moves in different states. For example in Shin Budokai 2, Goku had the same Kamehameha and Dragon Attack
(forgot the original name :D) from the Kaioken state up to Super Saiyan 3. But in DBZ:TT each state of Goku has different moves which is very well done.
Then you have custom clothes, in-game Transformation (Yes unlike Shin Budokai you can go through all Super Saiyan Levels in a fight instead of going straight from Normal to SS3), in-game Fusion, Beam Clashes and other amazing stuff.
9.5 out of 10.
Total 9/10
Well, there you go. That was my mini review of DBZ:TT.
My conclusion is:
If you are a DBZ fan or even if you're not, you should buy this game. This is as good as PSP gaming gets. but if you like the tournament modes in dbz game don't buy it cuz it doesn't have a tournament mode....sadly :(
PS: Sorry if my English is not good. It's far from my native language.
