i have the same game... toy poodle are actually quite cute in the game. my friend code for the 3ds is 3265-5487-7464

i always keep my 3d on. its not something nintendo offers with any other gameing system so its special

every version has the same dogs. just the start-dogs are different. you just need to unlock the rest.
