I'm glad they interviewed the you lady because a lot of people think that its only elderly who get it and while they are the majority its not only elderly or 60+, I was diagnosed at age 30 and ten years later i am still kicking and praise God!

My Dad had cml for 16 years before he died, gleevec was the last drug he was on, it helped him for a few years but it stopped working for him. I wish this other drug had been available before he died.

My wife has CML. She's kicking it's ass. with 6 years of survival under her belt, and having gone thru the two USDA approved front line meds (gleevec & Sprycel) she's scheduled for a bone marrow transplant on January 17th 2011. Her sister is the donor, and is a near perfect match.
