Tractive force is highly dependent on weight. I bet a 40hp VW bug would drag a 200hp BMW S1000RR bike around with ease.

I agree, it's all about the power you can put into the ground, the torgue especially, and for that high weight is great if you have a big powerful engine with a low gearing.
Right until you drive into a swamp and sink ... there being able to float, is a great thing.

@diesel4life7410 you must bleen pretty expensive blood then, with John deere you pay for green paint and the John Deere name, not the tractor, case is simply easier to work on and John deere stole Case's idea with the Axial flow combine. Case IH are the real innovators at a modest price
