1: Ford isn't Bankrupt while Chevy and dodge were being bailed out Ford's sales in 09- 2010 increased by 21%.
2.Yeah it's use by taxis and cops because it's a reliable engine that holds it's own.
3. The 3-valve 4.6 with Valve timing, and the new 5.0 with TiVct shits on ANY fkn Nissan engine out there, and the GTR? well it needed 2 fkn turbos just to make 480 HP -.-
Nissan makes awesome cars, but learn your crap about Ford too.

Infinit will kill and massacre the gts that's it ..that's if their both stock

@joshblacker1 my 3.5l v6 g35 eats all you 4.6l mustangs for breakfast... the 4.6l was weak and definitely something i had no respect for. the new 5.0l is something i respect. Finally ford is doing it right. No your 99 gt won't beat me. Sorry, only a cobra would touch me and barely beat me.

@The1WhiteDevil Your an idiot, pushrod engines are still in use by their suv's due to the durability and abuse they can handle. As well as the amount of torque they put down. I hate when people talk out their ass on the net, seriously google shit before you talk like a F*ckin mongoloid!

@planeman223 are you stupid? know things before you speak. the mustang in this video is using the 281 cubic inch block with single overhead cams. ford has used the 281 motor with dohc since the early 90's...overhead cams are more streetable, but in the long run pushrod motors are by far more durable. look at the new z06 corvettes, still using pushrod and spanking nissans left and right, especially the zr1. nissan is an over-priced over-rated japanese brand.

people are just haters.. yesterday some russian kids wanted me to race them in there s2k i have a 99 gt auto with an intake let them go in front we were weavin through traffic i was with them no problem just havin fun we never raced but i bet if we did id be right beside him if not nose to nose then a little foward a little back im surprised what is it a 2.0 or a 1.8? i give props to the little guy but i still love my mustang stop the hate. wolf chasin down the rabbit car style

@planeman223 haha its funny finding year old comments, you clearly have no idea what your talking about. ford has not been using pushrod motors since the last 5.0 in 1995. they are all modular motors. utilizing a sohc 2v for the gt's up till 2005 then switched to 3v, and now the new 5.0 is out with a 4v tivct. the cobras use a dohc 4v setup and was n/a untill 2003 when they put an eaton supercharger on making and underated 390 hp. now they are using supercharged 5.4 dohc 4v's
-
@planeman223 just an fyi....they stopped usiing pushrods....and now the v6 mustang pulls numbers close to the 370z and cost 23k......
-
@DixieOnMyMind59 Weight advantage helps a ton, plus the high revs. Only bad thing about the S2K is that bolt on's didn't add alot of hp due to it already being pretty close to maxed out without FI. FI'd S2K's are NASTY though.
By the way, I traded this Mustang in on a Honda S2000 over a year ago. I now sell Hondas as well - just to clear things up. And I have beaten plenty of G35's in my S2000 with its inline 4.

Oh so since taxi's use them they are good engines? LOL ok I'm glad someone is buying fords sorry excuse for vehicles because it sure isn't a lot of people. Seeing as how they are going bankrupt.
When they stop using push rod technology let me know. Nissan's VQ series v6 has been on the 10 best engine list for 15 straight years straight. Has one ford engine? nah
Like I said, get that book and read it.

Take a good look. Nissan's ubiquitous VQ, which up to this point, was the only engine series that had made Ward's Ten Best ever since the list's inception in 1995, is conspicuously absent. That's a big deal. We also note a couple of turbodiesel engines, one in BMW's favored inline-six configuration and one that powers VW's Jetta TDI. Ford's updated 2.5L hybrid four cylinder is also recognized, rounding out this year's trio of green powerplants.
