Big waves from Hurricane Earl on Nova Scotia's South Shore

I've been chasing big storms, like Hurricanes, for about 20 years now. I call the waves I am seeking from these storms, "dream waves" because I have dreams several times a week about waves so big that it is like a wall of water coming at me - and I love it!

So, as soon as it was safe on Saturday, Bruce and the pups and I headed out to go looking for the big waves.

We were trying to decide if it was best to go East or West. I know the South Shore better, and I knew there would be a whole lot less people, so west we went.

We seemed to not be finding any at first, but then we came up a small hill and -

WOW

I literally yelled out loud. I scared the dogs :)

To a storm chasing Pisces, ocean and waves like this are absolute mana for the soul. They are magick.

I could have stayed there forever. The power of it may be overwhelming to some, but this scene actually calms me in a way like nothing else can.

Enjoy! I've got a few more videos to put up. Suffice it to say that in the 20 years that I've been chasing these waves around, I have never seen ones this big before.
