In 2010, HKIA became the busiest airport by cargo traffic in the world, ahead of Memphis Airport in the US, along with Hong Kong flag carrier Cathay Pacific holding the title of the world's largest international cargo airline.

why is atlanta the busiest? id have thought new york or london or hk or beijing maybe. world leading hubs, for business, social, political etc. but atlanta?

@5505miller This video only mentions INDIVIDUAL airports, not a combination of airports. London's Heathrow is currently third with an avg. of 67 mill. passengers per year behind Beijing. Atlanta has been number 1 for over a decade in terms of passengers with an avg. of 90 mill. passengers per year.

Yes ATL is the busiest "single" airport but the city with the most traffic going through it is London by a long way and then it is seconded by New York's traffic. London has 5 airports as Heathrow is not big enough to deal with all traffic. just over 147,000,000 million people pass through "all" of London's airports which is more than anywhere else in the world.
