This is where things gets weird. Does it delete the second and all under it? Then everything aside from the original would collapse. Does it start deleting from the bottom? If so, it would be odd for simulations to see simulations under it being randomly deleted. Then again, I guess it wouldn't be that odd (since they would be aware of simulations in general). Well, I guess my mind has also been blown at this point *walks off scratching head*

Every simulation before ours would need to have stronger computing power. For example, the first simulation would have to have the power to run all the simulations under it (N), the second simulation would be N-1, the third would be N-3, so on and so forth. Chances are that the first simulation would eventually reach a "max level" and would not be able to support multiple simulations. Therefore, once the original simulation nears that capacity, it would have to "delete" simulations (cont'd)

Wouldnt the original universe have to still be going now for us to exist? But that cant be right because the planet that has the simulation on it probably would have been destroyed by now, as it would have to be around for a long time to create a lot of simulations inside simulations

if humanity can ever in the future master Quantum computing as we have silcon transistor computing, then we may indeed be able to simulate whole universes (as detailed and as precise as the one we live in)
Quantum Computing offers incredibly vast data processing powers. It truly will change everything about our species.

no heaven? goes out on a rapeing spree

To simulate the universe you have to represent it in the universe. But it takes more particles to fully simulate a particle than it does to be that particle. So, there are not enough particles in the universe to fully simulate it. A little thought cools the brain to a manageable temperature. Peace, DP

@BlackLukeS I've heard of this Higgs boson, is it the last "building block" of matter?

A few things...... 1) I think this may be true 2) there would have to be an original real universe for this to happen 3) i now wonder what's going on at area 51 that they don't tell the public

There is a theory that states that if anyone ever discovered the true reason for the existence of life, the universe and everything in it, the universe would instantly collapse in on itself and be destroyed, only to be replaced with a universe even stranger and possibly more complex than the original.
There is another theory that states that this may have already occurred, prehaps multiple times.
Which might help explain the general insanity inherent in the universe today.
