Why don't the moon landing deniers claim that the Voyager / Galileo / Cassini missions are also fake? These are also complex achievements, yet there doesn't seem to be anyone who will deny that the Huygens probe images of Titan's surface are made-up? Why do we never hear that the images sent back from Mars by Spirit and Opportunity were all an elaborate hoax? I find it strange that just the Apollo missions get all the heat

@Tessmage don't forget laziness.

@adderaX the 1st stage of the Saturn V is powered by RP1 (kerosene). The shuttle has two solid boosters and the main engines are LOX, which creates the steam.

@adderaX the saturn 5 i think where all liquid fueled and the shuttel had 2 solid fuel bosters that could make a diff. in the contrail.

I fell in love with America when this happened. I was an 8 year old English kid (son of a British army NCO) living in Germany (Rheindalen) I had been hit by a car and was in hospital in Waldniel. I watched this along with half the rest of the hospital on TV in the TV room at the hospital. It took me another 25 (33 years old) years to realize my dream of moving to the country I fell in love with when I was 8. I have been here 18 years and have never regretted it for a moment
@DeadJesus100
"God" is a big hoax, too... but we don't see you jumping up and down frothing at the mouth about that.
Take a chill pill. The moon missions were real. If you want to feel ashamed about something, then feel ashamed about this: the fact that the greatest achievement of the human species occurred more than 40 years ago... and we haven't done anything to top it ever since. And why..? Because of cheapness, short-sightedness and outright ignorance and stupidity, that's why.

@Tessmage . . . Of course, even then there'll always be sceptics even if you sat them in a damned Saturn V AND launched them to the Moon . . . one thing is certain: no era has a monopoly on ignorance, stupidity, and irrationality; it's up to those who have the ability to see beyond fundamental human frailties, and help those 'up' who want help and open their eyes to the phenomenal potentiality of humanity. :-)
