This is how to get the world of warcraft pet penguin - Mr Chilly

1. Go to https://eu.battle.net/login
2. Click on: Don't have an account yet? Sign up now!
3. Go through the sign up steps
4. After done put in your email adress and password on the Battle.net Account Login page.
5. Wait like an hour and the egg will come via the World of Warcraft mail system.

i basically made my account before the sign on the website said that if i merge my account i can make it, but i still had to make my account with my e-mail adress, will i still find the egg in my mail?

Im pretty sure you will get it and no its a vanity pet therefore it cannot attack. ;]
