This is a great way to get rid of rats. If you have any problems with rats, I mean a growing population in your surroundings, just build a temple for them, tell people to come and bring food for them as an offering. You can be sure, that all the rats from the area will move to the temple, as their lives are better, easier and more comfortable there. This way you won't have any problems with them anymore....
