i found the 4 surnames. kalaitzidis, kevrekidis, parastatidis, halkidis.

i am not sure which of them are from bolukbas and which from caybuk.

I will learn tomorrow your question but i asked my father before answer your question. And he said me greeks were in bolukbas . My grandfather is nearly 100 years old i think he can know your question maybe knows your family :D

believe it or not my grandparents were greeks from Bolukbas and were exchanged in 1923.

I once heard that at that time there were two villages named upper and lower Bolukbas. Do you know anything about it or there is only one Bolukbas??

I also have relatives from Caybuk :)

Hi chabos4,

In Turkey most of people lives at another cities cause of jobs . Every year this village members meet at own village and they are hanging together. So it makes social powerfull relation between of them. I am member of Bolukbas village too, I assume you are intersted in about so local events. If you want to visit our village we will happy to host you . Next festival is at end of the June 2008.
