They sound very good here. I've seen this line-up twice recently. Excellent playing from all concerned, but they had a strangely 'boggy' and lumpy sound. High volume - especially in the bass and drum frequencies do great harm to this kind of music for me. I'll continue to support them of course, they were [and are] a great band - tho' from the comfort of my armchair - and with the old albums.

Agreed, Angel Wings & Blues In D are the highlights! The faster parts of Virtuous Woman are also good!

That Niels is (I never thought I´d say this) even better than Jan... knowing Akkerman is an superb guitarist.

What a truly amazing piece of music from an truly amazing band. They are just jaw dropping and I would love to see them come to Liverpool one day and perfrom. Brilliant stuff.

No it's not. Only the organ player and drummer are from the 1970's version of the band. The other two are new members.

however have u heard focus with philip catherine? get the live at bbc album. different but seriously dam good!
i think this guitarist is doing a fair job but im not convinced he is feeling the music half as much as akkerman did
