of course the story is just a story. it may be either a complete fiction or based on a true story (eg, the angels in the story = the rich or the royals in the true story). when we discuss about the story, we discuss about the events in it, not about whether the story is true or not, not about whether we believe it or not.

the stories by shakespeare are either fictions or based on true stories, yet discussed in high schools & universities, in english-speakin' countries.
