and are their really 1110 other people on hear named Clembuke? Just wondering.

  • monty, Well lets see, The mentally retarted gat married and convicted Murderers and convicted Pediophiles get married, so its a privledge? ....yea..... ah .....right.

  • Chomp , actually he is more worried because he fucked you last night and has crabs.

  • monty287 says: " then according to the California Probate code, they would pay more taxes when their "spouse" (or whatever you want to call it) dies"

Baloney. The surviving spouse is entitled to inherit an unlimited amount tax-free. But even if you are correct, I'm happy to pay my fair share in order to secure my rights as a tax-paying citizen.

And in my case, BTW, the term you're searching for is "husband."

  • I don't think that you realize that if prop 8 passes, the gay community will lose nothing. However, if it doesn't, (and think about this), and they get the opportunity to call their partner a "spouse", then according to the California Probate code, they would pay more taxes when their "spouse" (or whatever you want to call it) dies than if you it was a civil union. Looking at what it says, there is more to lose for BOTH sides than there if it doesn't pass.

  • monty says: "Marriage is NOT a right."

You're technically right, monty. Marriage is, in a legal sense, a CONTRACT--and of course this video IS about legality, since it opposes a new law. Only certain people have the RIGHT to enter into that contract. Prop 8 removes that RIGHT from one specific group of citizens who presently have it.

Frankly, monty, most folks don't need that explanation. They understand full well that Prop 8 absolutely DOES revoke RIGHTS--no matter what wording you use.
