Well thanks @oskardv12..

You see the roar previous to moves before the O button mash ?

That's your cue to go in for the kill.. which leads to you being able to activate O button mash.

It's been quite a while since I've played this and our Ps2 is out of commision so that's as much as I can tell you from memory.

I am not able to finish this battle in normal mode. I reach to the part where you have to press circle rapidly, but no matter how fast I press the damn button ares still wins. same applies for minotaur battles too. They give green orbs only if I press circle insanely hard, unlike my psp where a few taps were enough. How to overcome this problem?

Put controller on your lap @prasadidasi and and machine gun that o button with your index finger.. needs a bit of practice.

I use this method rarely and only when absolutely needed but it's effective.

Can I just say, mad props to all of you guys for still playing GOW1. It's much better than some (most) of the games out nowadays.

I'm at the final battle with Ares pt 2 on God Mode and I'm having more fun than I did like 8 years ago when I first played it. Who cares if it takes upwards of 45 minutes to beat all those clones, and the bit just before Pandora's Box (with no magic). After this I can cruise through on Easy mode with the Cow Suit (unlimited magic) to get the Jason MacDonald trophy.

@prasadidasi u don t have to make a big try but u must be trained in gow to learn and get synched with the speed game requires... i don t mean u must be a pro but it s necessary because one of gow games characteristics is pressing O really fast so u must get the idea... now in god mode i press O with my thumb so fast that minotaurs die in about 1,5 seconds... Got that?
