Traumatic lawnmower accident of a little boy produces miracles and ongoing impact on others.----(Film by David Salmon for Duke Children's Hospital)
~It was a warm, breezy afternoon on October 23rd, 2002. My three-year-old son, Mason, was playing on the front porch of our home when I began to mow the back lawn. I would have never believed that tragedy would hit within moments and instantly change my life and that of my family forever.

  • this is my favorite story

  • My heart goes out to not only this precious, brave little boy, Mason Lindley, but to his entire family. You all have had to endure turmoil that I cannot even imagine. I know you all will forever live with Mason's Memory..... memories of the good times and of the bad times. Like both the parents state that with faith and GOD, that is the only way they can and will continue to keep Mason Lindley's memory alive. I want to say so much more, but I am at a loss for words. GOD be with you all...

  • This story makes me cry every time I hear it. I have volunteered at the Duke radiothons every year for many, many years and my mom was volunteering one year when Mason and his family came in.

We all miss you our "truest of champions"!

  • ----------ATTN. ANYONE WHO IS WATCHING----

I wanted to tell you this:

I was Watching the Today Show today [6/30/08] and I saw somthing about a little boy who died by being run over with a lawn mower. It said he had like 300 some surgerys or a lot of surgerys or somthing so I searched youtube for it and this is the story. and it even has the same video of Mason on his bike. So guys, Mason died like 3-5 years [don't remember] later after this insident happened :[
