he makes great points. however, I still think that empathy is overrated. The apex predator does not brutally hunt and kill its prey. Instead, he creates the prey on a farm. And the good cattle..is the calm cattle, not an angry retaliatory cattle. The same applies to the intraspecific competition between humans. A group of "human predators" would benefit from making other people feel empathy (because is more predictable and easy to manipulate) while they operate outside the system.
