  • Ok some things I have not seen others say and or from what you said...try to clean the cd laser with a cd cleaning kit and see if that helps...it maybe that the laser could be a tab bit dirty....even more so if you used that computer to burn the cd...did you try to use the cd in another computer to see if it worked? the burner that your using could be falty and causing the problem as well.

  • @linden940 Shouldnt be dirty my DVD drive or CD drive as there brand new! Also I have burned it on 2 computers and the same thing happens!

  • IF you want to stick with UBUNTU then install it using the alternative CD. it may work for you that way. BUT i would recommend you try something OTHER than ubuntu!!

  • @Raja221 Hi, I have tried Linux mint and it gives me the same problem!

  • hi LINUX UBUNTU IS SO GOODDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • mejby u need 10 10 32bit iso!!!i?

  • Did you verify the md5sum of the iso? If you did then I would recommend making an iso off of the disk you burned then checking the md5 off of that to compare just to make sure that is not the problem. Back when 9.10 came out I ran into a similar problem. The solution for me was continually tapping the enter key as it was booting. I later found out that I could have tapped any key. Come over to Ubuntu Forums and you will probably get a lot more real help than you will here.

  • @Robospidera1 Hi i have used a number of utilities! Nero, Windows 7 Native image burning and iv tried things like Imgburn but all do the same thing!

  • @GCS2K8 What are you using to burn it!

  • Have you tried the earlier versions of Ubuntu then upgraded? I've got 10.10 working on my laptop, it's really really really fast doing anything, but some of the stuff still isn't working like the cloud and some small stuff. I think the release date is October 20 for 10.10! O you might try taking out the small battery, on the mother board, that saves the time on your motherboard to reset some motherboard stuff.....

  • From a Windows Computer download 'IMGburn' And it may work. it'sa good utility.

  • may you must put the ubuntu disc [iso] in the pc

  • @GCS2K8 if ubuntu / mint dont work ( they are the same backbone) so i guess you can try pclinuxos / mandriva / fedora and so on. easy to use would be pclinuxos and mandriva. its ALL linux after-all. you make of it what you want :) so if pclinuxos works nice with your hardware then use that. i use pclinuxos on 1 on my systems that hate linux mint.
