The Amazing Ball: a low-cost Ball and Plate System jointly produced by WRC, Evidence and Embedded Solutions. A patent-pending mechanical system is controlled by a FLEX board featuring the real-time kernel ERIKA. A bundle of SCICOS blocks is available in order to perform high level programming of the control system as well as real-time control tuning and visualization of the experiment . In this video a demo performed by two undergraduate students of the School of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Florence, Italy.

  • Hi lasolita222, there are about 100 "Amazing Ball" sold around the world and a new set of them will be ready for sale at the end of May. If you are interested only to the mechanical part we might sell it to you.

  • Hi,

very nice job. I am trying to do something similar in the spare time by my self. Unfortunately, I am not able to find proper ball joints for .plate-motor connection and the main joint to hold the plate, Can you give me some information about them. Which model have you used? Do you know a web site where I can buy them?

    Thanks.
