Derazor çöllerinde yaralı çoktur Gelme doktor gelme çarası yoktur Allahtan gayrı hiç kimsem yoktur Dini bin uğruna giden Ermeni Derazor çöllerinde bayıldım kaldım Harçlığım tükendi, evladım sattım Ana ben bu candan bıktım osandım Milleti uğruna giden Ermeni Goyver ana goyver gedelim çöle Olalım çırçıplak Araba köle Söylensin derdim dillerden dillere Evladı uğruna giden Ermeni

Ermeni kardeşlerim, acılarınızı paylaşıyorum. Keşke tarihdeki olaylar olmasaymış, yaşanmasaymış. Ama gelin görünki olmuş. Özür dilemekten başka yapabileceğimiz maalesef bir şey yok. Allah Ermenilerin de Türklerin de yolunu açık etsin, kardeşliklerini yeşillendirsin, büyütsün.

Hi , I am the director of the film Back to Ararat, in 1985 I have filmed a woan in the Armenian Home for Old People. She could not talk, the only thing she wanted to do was to sing and over and over again she sang the Der zor song,
which is a very long one, more than 400 verses. You can see her in the movie. she is then almost 90 yeras old. I have the footage.

Bolors Hay enk, bolors Hrant enk. Batsi mer nağagan Abdulla Gül'ı, vorı araçuts suni mohamedakan e yeğel, yev hedo makur Turk e yeğel verçin yot serun!
there was also a commercially produced vinyl 78 record of this song, made in NY in the 1920s by Vahan Boyajian, accompanied by oud and violin. entitled "Der Zor Dasdaanaci" but its the same song. also Verjine Svazlian has written a book on the turkish language lamentations of that era inlcuding this song. the book is transcribed and posted on the internet somewhere.

Hi, thx a lot for the information re: Vahan Boyajian recording. When we were doing research we also came across the name of Professor Svazlian and her book about lamentations. Do you by any chance know other lamentations in Turkish from the same era that Armenians sang?
