BRIEF:
The concept is an elevated highway for bikes (Electrical and manual) enclosed in large tubes that allow transit. The tubes protect bicyclists in all weather conditions, yet allow cross ventilation. By separating bicycles from cars, people, conflicts of circulation are avoided. • An self-sufficient system. As for the energy consumption, due to his sources of SOLAR (the ECO_BAHN will be the largest installation of flexible solar panels that will be installed all along the rooftop of all its route) and wind energy (wind turbines will be incorporated in all the stations) that turn it into a provider of surplus of energy for the local grid.
We want to convert the streets in plazas and green areas with a minimum of circulation for the emergencies vehicles, collective transport and bike lanes. Promoting the vertical master planning for transportation system instead of the horizontal traditional master planning minimizing our footprint in the ground. In this way making the need it contribution against the "Global Warming Effect".
CONCLUSIONS:
This is our proposal for a new kind of elevated transit system for bicycles that respond responsible and with efficiency in the following aspects:
We propose "a high speed, all season, pollution free, ultra-quite transit system that allows people to lead a healthier life. Using an infrastructure of elevated bike tracks, ECO_BAHN will complement the traditional transportation systems, with a network across the City."
The main argument behind the ECO_BAHN is to produce the cheapest possible raised transportation network, in this way minimizing our footprint in directly contribution with a system sustainable architecture in contribution for a better environmental quality directly combating the effects of the "Global Warming" with the motto: ONE BIKE IN USE, IS ONE CAR LESS IN CIRCULATION, SAVE THE PLANET!!!
