Charice's Father Murdered in Philippines

Hi everyone, Bridget Daly here for ClevverMusic. We have terribly sad news to report. Singer Charice's father has been murdered in the Philippines. According to WENN, Ricky Pempengo accidentally brushed against a drunk man while in a grocery store yesterday in the town on San Pedra, when he was stabbed in the chest and back with an ice pick. He died at the scene, and now a massive manhunt in underway as the murderer is still on the loose.

Charice has been estranged from her father, but took to her Twitter to express her feelings saying, "I loved him and I will still love him. He's still my Dad after all." She's since pulled out of a concert in Singapore she was scheduled for next week, and has flown home to lay her father to rest. Charice wrote to her fans saying quote, "I am very sorry to all my fans from Singapore. I hope you all understand. I love you all and I will see you next year."
