@zagiacho That's true. About 6 years ago it was the place where I wanted to move to live, but when I went back I founded so many bullshit tourists and came back in Italy

@zagiacho Maybe your right but what would san pedro be if it wasn't for the tourist? Are you going tell me that the Guatemalan government would have invested in the place? no....it would just be another town neglected by the government & suffering from extreme poverty.......So thanx to the tourism industry there is something going on over there.....porfavor la proxima ves pensa antes de escribir tonterias.

@zagiacho western tourists consider everyone who's not a westerner as "inferior"...not all tourists but 90% of them anyway

correte gringa , que no veo!!!!!
Well, San Pedro used to be a beautiful place years ago ; BEFORE the western people started to come here as tourists looking for CHEAP DRUGS, alcohol and EXCESSES of behavour, thinking that the local people have to tolerate their things because they consider the local people as inferiors ; but the truth is that are just scaping from the boredom and stress of their societies, disguised in voluntaries , visitors, etc.

Hi Zagiacho, unfortunately that is sometimes the price you pay for tourism, and especially when there is no form of policing or controls to limit the dealers that are making lots of money SELLING drugs to tourists in San Pedro.
You also cannot say that *everyone* that comes to San Pedro is "escaping from the boredom and stress of their societies". We went there to learn Spanish and to learn something about Guatemala and the indigenous culture there.
