Laura Cantrell - Profile of a Performing Artist

Laura's 3rd album 'Humming By The Flowered Vine' came in late 2005 to wild acclaim, followed by some terrific shows on both coasts. There have been a succession of radio sessions (World Cafe, Morning Becomes Eclectic, Bob Harris' BBC 2 program, live on Charlottesville, VA's WTJU). This video goes a step further to show the person behind the artist. Laura does make you love her.She is great in person. Laura has archives on New Yorks WFMU radio. Her show was The Radio Thrift Shop with hours of of great interviews and tributes and music that covers a wide range. She has recently become a mom and has sidetracked her career (for awhile only we hope).
