Government Good or Bad?

Old Ronald Reagan once said
Government
isn't the solution to your problems
Because government is the problem

And low and behold
This very same guy
Made a good living
Running government By and by

You are the problem
he was really saying
Because youre the government
Whos doing the paying

Your water, Your firefighters
Your streets,
Are part of your government
Much more than mear threats

So what did he really want?
Why did he say that?
Its beginning to smell
like a very dead rat

He wanted it All
To do with As he pleased
To make government work for him
On its bended knee

People like old Ronnie
Who are for ever saying
Government is the problem
stop asking it for help in your praying

In the end
The real problem tis
not government
But the one that tells you that it is.
