  • This was an awesome show. Definitely one of the best pre-game performances of the (2nd) Dr. Jones era. We did this show once at Kinnick, and there was a F-16 flyover...that one might've been better, or at least higher energy.

  • @dmpaulsen Sorry if you're offended, but it is true. LKK doesn't instruct marching at this level. I know because I marched in this show AND also with Kastens as the director.

  • what do you mean "the current incarnation of the HMB could never do 'Stars and Stripes'"?

the current incarnation of the HMB is offended.

  • Wasn't this the game where the Hawks wore plain black helmets?

  • I should've waited to comment until I'd watched the whole thing, but man, the company front still gives me chills. The drill was brilliant (hi, Gene!) and may have taken all season to master, but it was a thing of beauty when it all came together.

  • Back when the band was awesome! I had forgotten about the "Howdy." Such a nice touch. Sadly, the current incarnation of the HMB could never do 'Stars and Stripes.'
