@XDiScONeCtX Greece has also problems with neighbours (Turks claim 30 greek islands, Skopjans want to take macedonia-that is half of greece including the 2nd largest city-, Albanians claim Epirus-a huge prefecture near the borders). Why doesn't Greece participate in Asian competitions?Easy, because it is located in Europe.

Australia participates in Asia because the other countries of Oceania have less population than 100 football teams...

@panosvz Cause Israel has problems with Muslim countries.

Besides, Egypt and Algeria, as far as I remember, do pretty well with the other countries in it's area.

And Israel was pretty better than other countries in sports. It's like Australia moved from the Oceanian Football Association to AFC (Asian Football Association).

@XDiScONeCtX North Korea doesnt have any friend, anywhere...Algeria is close to Europe, Egypt is close to Europe, Alaska is close to Europe, many countries are close to Europe and have naighbour problems. Why is only Israel in European competitions??????????????

The point is, Israel is close to Europe, so moving them to the European league isnt so bad.

Israel doesnt have good relationship with most of the Islamic countries (like Iran, Iraq and more), so they were moved to the European associations.
