We had to watch this video in the academy and they made 2 major mistakes. The 1st mistake they should have never split up they had enough firepower to make it a lot further. The 2nd gunman Emil that tried and take the truck and instead of taking cover if he rushed the patrol car and started shooting it's very possible he could have killed them. I am glad no officers or civilans died but now most states carry assault rifles after this incident, I will admit I would take cover also if I was there.
