@jaydenlawson Track 3 was also a blank track. The one CD catered for both street car and off-road car sales. All the salesperson did was cue up track 1 or 3 which would play when the owner started the car for the first time to drive away from the dealership. By the time they got to the street, track 2 or 4 would then start playing giving the customer a nice send-off as they drove away from the dealership.
As for HD versions, sadly Australia didn't have HD ads back in 2000. :(

@hyraxaus Mate you're a legend for doing this!! I see you've put up tracks 2 and 4. What was track 3? I see you mentioned track 1 was a blank track.
The other ad (not this one we're commenting about) is my most favourite TV ad of all time. It was 44 seconds of broadcast perfection. I've got a super low quality version of it from years ago - hoping to find a HD version of it soon!
Thanks for doing the audio rip and upload, and for leaving it there!! You've made my week!!

@tomg0091 I'm looking for the one that accompanied this one!! It had the same music, but was about the Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system. It was and still is the best ad I've seen.

Lol, The GLF was also a 2-door convertible. Where as the Leone and GL models were only offered as Coupes, 4-door sedan, Wagon and Hatchback.
That, is the difference.
-
@TheLoyale They're both Leones, one is a sedan and the other is a wagon. It's the same platform. That's like saying there's a big difference between the Legacy sedan and wagon
-
I said GLF, not a GL (Big difference) look it up.
-
@TheLoyale LOL my buddy's first car was an '82 GL, what's your point?
-
No shit, but the commercial was filmed on the west cost of Australia.
Talk to me when you know what a '77 GLF is.
What do you mean it won't appeal americans? I want to see more Subaru ads like this!
It's great to see a Subaru in it's nateral place! in the Rainforest! Aussie rock's!

This is a great commercial - ran on Australian TV back in 2000. The other commercial for the on-road vehicles like the Liberty and Impreza was shot in the nation's Capital, Canberra. Very artistic ads. For the next year, all new Subaru's sold had a two-track audio CD of the ad music (extended versions). There was a deliberate empty track in front of each one - as you drove your new car out of the lot, by the time you got to the street, the music would start playing. Customers loved it!
