@obakareof70 I'm sorry to inform you of this: but Robert did tell Anna that he loved her and yet she still chose HER TRUE LOVE-HER SOULMATE-HER GREATEST LOVE: THE DUKE OF LAVERY over Robert.
Robert layed his feeling for Anna out their several times before she committed herself/her life to her greatest love Duke.Anna was aware of the fact that Robert loved her and wanted her back: and you just like Robert thought that once he did that: Anna would chose him over Duke but she never did.

It's fuuny how some keep saying that if Anna knew Robert still loved and wanted her-she would drop Duke.Well sorry to say-she did know that and she still chose Duke.Whenever Duke was in the picture-Robert never had a chance.Like Anna said: he [meaning Duke] stole her heart when she first met him.I don't deny Anna feelings for Robert he was her first love-they have a child together but the DUKE OF LAVERY was her TRUE LOVE.It took death to seperate them-can you say the same about Robert.
