I want to dedicate this pretty, sad and uplifting song to the victims of the terror attacks on Oslo and Utøya in Norway this summer. The piano piece is called I Giorni by Ludovico Einaudi. It's pretty as Norway is pretty. It's sad as the tragedy of this night. It's uplifting for the people who need some support to cope in the time after.

It was the night of 22.07.11. A bomb went off in the centre of Oslo, killing 8 people. Shortly after, the same terrorist attacked a labour party summer camp on a peaceful little island called Utøya, shooting everyone he could see, killing 68 people from all around the country, most being teenagers. It was described as "a living hell" by the survivors. The events of this night shook our little country, and we are all affected to different extents.

Too many people lost their lives before it even begun. Too many parents have outlived their teenagers. Too many people have lost good friends and loved ones, and too many people have to live with this the rest of their lives.

My thoughts go to all family and friends affected.

  • Thanks for playing this song for us. All of us have lost someone they really cared for, some more than others. I had four friends out there on Utøya, and one of them died. 77 dead people are 77 too many.

  • @Miaogeli So sorry for your loss. I had one friend out there, luckily she was a good swimmer. I can't imagine how you can deal with it. Stay strong x

  • This song better have 0 dislikes or else they have no heart.

  • Making another masterpiece, and dedicating it to the victims, is the best possible way to remember them. I'm sure they would be touched.

Let's just hope nothing like this would ever happen again.

  • Ludovico Einaudi pieces are so inspiring...

They have something that makes you feel what you really want to feel in that exact moment.
