  • Great video. I really like the slight sloppiness(not kidding, I really do) Most people play to clean and sterile nowadays. No feeling to it. You got some great chops dude!

  • @mattthom1 Sloppiness seems to be my calling card :-)

  • is this the mosfet? found a bargain on a fulldrive 2.. not the mosfet though. Has anyone had any experience with them? ta

  • I did both the regular and MOSFET variety, although I only posted the video of the regular one. They are both in the OD Pedal Comparinator at OldToneZone (dot) com so you can compare them :)

  • Hey Anthony have you always played with your grip like (thumb over 1st) that or did you have to train yourself after playing for a while? That's probably the hardest thing I am facing trying to learn these technques...old (bad) habits die hard!

  • I started doing it because I saw Hendrix and Stevie doing it. It's not wrong to do it the other way, just harder :)

The thumbover is no longer considered a bad technique. It is the most natural position for playing guitar with string bending (try bending the strings with your thumb behind - it's unnatural)... Unless, you play a lot of John Stowell chords with 5 fret stretches.

Classical guitars have wider necks and also classical music involves a lot of chords with no string bending like in blues, so it makes sense to put your thumb behind the neck all the time.

  • please, where can i find that incredible backin track? thankss

  • is this the first series or the one with the vintage switch? I really need to buy one of them and I don't know which one!

  • whats the amp? what model strat?

  • Love your playing man! You catch the spirit of SRV but don't sound to much like a copy. Got to love the Fulltone stuff.

  • Hi! me again, where did you get the backing tracks? are awesome,

  • really cool tone!!! grat playing, is that an american standard?

  • Nice chops dude!

  • @gr8bluesgtr HAHA! Wish I was half as sloppy! haha x) If that's what you call this. Great blues as allways!
