Kay Hagan Campaign Canvasses for Cans

On July 19th, the Kay Hagan campaign held food canvasses across North Carolina to help bolster supplies at local food banks around the state. Many food banks have felt the impact of record food and gas prices and are having trouble collecting enough donations during the summer months. Hagan supporters are doing their part to help by holding "Canvass for Canned Food" drives in seven counties across the state, and Kay's campaign staff has been holding their own food drive at campaign headquarters. Supporters will be knocking on doors and collecting food in Wake, Durham, Pitt, Guilford, New Hanover, Johnston and Buncombe counties.
