Binoculars are expensive! Are you sure you're using them properly?!? www.Kettlebottom.com gives you how-to instructions on properly focusing yours. Never miss the Big Whitetail, Elk, or Mule Deer because of fuzzy optics.
Mr. Longo has no idea what he's talking about! Besides being an unadulterated ad for Swarovski, which is a great optics manufacturer, his method of adjusting the diopter setting is essentially backwards.
The instructions for every pair of binoculars I've owned describes it the other way around: set the dioptic to zero, focus the binocs with the right side covered and then focus the dioptic. Is there some kind of advantage to focusing the dioptic first?
Main focus first then the dioptre, otherwise you're taking focus off of what you've already got in focus.
