  • I am sorry but this diet doesn't look very healthy. Mostly convenience food, no wholemeal, no organic food. It's cheap for sure, but you get what you pay for.

  • Need to eat more fresh vegetables. There is nothing but nitrates and salt in your diet. Free range eggs (I hope you get those?) they have more nutrients, less cholesterol, and less saturated fats (not too mention the chickens are not in inhumane conditions). You can eat more brown rices, more home made from scratch meals, veggies, and the like while still staying very close to $50 a week. That food will lead to a life of diabetes, heart conditions, obesity, and running down the immune system.

  • @VonHalford Unfortunately, consumer waste (what I am assuming is meant by civilian waste?) makes up almost 100% of the 3 huge floating islands made of waste plastic in the Pacific ocean that are killing seagoing birds, fish, and marine mammals. I admit, I can't get away from it completely, but I am sure trying to do my part. Honestly, I don't want a fight from anyone. I was just expressing my view of this diet. And admitting that maybe it was not so much awful food, as awful judgment....

  • @keepdancingmaria You do know that civilian waste makes up 3 percent of waste in the world right? That's less than the margin for error. That means that if you and every one you know stopped wasting plastic, you will have literally done nothing to affect anything on how much waste their is pouring into the world. But everything else you said I totally agree with. This is nothing but pork and gluten.

  • @NikadoZiriguidum2 yes~! you can feed 10 people for 300 a month if you buy whole foods and no snacks, my pastor has 9 kids and does this.

  • She did mention that she had "plenty" of that other stuff, ie, real food, from the previous weeks shopping, so maybe her diet is not as bad as this makes it look. It was perhaps more unwise to show this week's shopping than actually an awful diet. Personally, I thought that this was not a good week's shopping as it showed 1. no nutrition 2. a lot of plastic waste (doesn't go away) 3. supports monsanto and animal cruelty. She should show a week where she made better choices.

  • if you decide not to home school your kids someday they might afford real food some day

  • It's a nice thought but it's also all processed food. It's not good for you or your family. It's chemicals your body doesn't need.

  • never stuff you used espcially with kids like MILK, Apple Juice, P & J

  • not healthy, Also look for damaged grocery outlet stores. I once filled 5 grocery bags for 3 dollars, oh it was all processed. But that diet would certainly kill me.

  • wheres the kosher, organic, non-gmo, fair trade food? where are the fruits and veggies? basically where is the REAL FOOD!

  • You can purchase coupons on ebay also. Great deals. Healthly foods also.
