More good hockey stuff at http://twitter.com/#!/25stanley Zach Kassian got a game-misconduct for his hit on Senkerik. He did not hit the head of his opponent (according to TSN Pierre McGuire), but he sure went blindside. Sorry for the bad video quality.

He doesn't even lift his shoulder until after the play, meaning it is not a head check. A head check is when a player makes clear contact with the head (usually by raising their shoulder). I've played for 15 years and reffed for 6. This is a clean hit. There should have been no penalty called, and it is not a head check because he doesn't even lift his shoulder, he is merely a big guy. It's not a matter of opinion, it's fact, based on rules.

if you look at 0:29 he hit him in the chest, as for a late hit most hits you see are alot later then that it just looks late when its in slow motion. In actual game speed its not late at all.

Like I said, you are wrong in your assessment. Look it up in the rule book so we don't have to waste our time by engaging in a pissing match. This was by the rule book a perfect bodycheck. Your argument with other player touching the puck does not fly. There is a time allowed for hit to happen AFTER a player who is being hit touches the puck. He becomes a fair game and he must protect himself at all times. Learn the rules. Then learn to apply them. It is not easy but you can learn

Cant hit a player without the puck while one of his teammates has it under control. If you have the puck and passes it to someone but the puck hasnt got there yet, then it would be legal hit. Not in this case. You also have to take the time between the guy not being the puckholder and the time of the hit. He hits him long after he didnt got the puck anymore. Kassian probably thought the guy would keep the puck and tried to hit him.
