@drummaross1015 What is a fractal, you ask? It is EVERYTHING. It's the veins under your skin, it's the branches on the trees, the roots in the ground, it's the lightning, it's the mountains, it's the motion of the ocean, it's the whole fucking universe. It's the way in which natural life randomly constructs itself and the way energy moves. And yes, it is very trippy. It's no surprise that my fascination with fractals began after taking psilocybin mushrooms. I saw fractalized visuals in mind.

the negative space on the outside reminds me of the bulbs on the Mandelbrot set

Very good. It's good that you explain how it works too.

Touched by an angle...

I think this thing is going to give me nightmares.

this is just mad. In a good way.
While I find this incredible to look at, and a marvel of mathematics, I can't help thinking that it wants to kill us all.

This is the first (and perhaps the only) true 3D fractal I've seen on YouTube. Please keep up the good work, and create higher resolution and framerate animations for us all! Also, have more direct light sourcing as well as ambient, as well as more interesting colours.
Out of interest, is there any true equivalent to the Mandelbrot set, but in 3D, or is this the closest?
