@WesternGirl17 The Alto Sax part is hecka difficult!!!
-
Rolling Thunder is indeed a ferocious and rather quick march... it is almost impossible to march to this when playing.

Rolling Thunder is one of the most difficult pieces to play, let alone master. This performance was magnificent!

This song is supposed to played at 180 in cut time, the band im in i playling it at 130- 150 in cut time. This is the speed of it 180 in cut.

as of two days ago at 160 bpm

I completely agree. We are playing this right now in high school pretty well (granted our tubas are horrible) and it should be taken faster. To WesternGirl- Have you payed any attention at all to the woodwind parts?!?!? And I mean the fingerings not just the very fast sixteenth notes (played in cut time)
-
That's faster than march tempo anyway.
-
I disagree. You try playing that song on trombone. The rest of the parts are relatively easy, but the trombone part is very technical and difficult to play. I do agree that it perhaps could go a TAD bit faster, but not much. Be considerate of us poor trombones.
This song is hecka hard to do on an alto saxophone. SO left handed. Props to all you that can get it clean and fast...that's what she said.
