it wasn't an experiment. why on earth would she have bled to death? that's insane. and she didn't have no care, she had researched self care. how could you think a woman like this would have not sought help if she realized she needed it? the WHY of unasisted birth is because it's normal, safe, and healthy in a healthy pregnancy.

@phycomom101 : Usually babies that are blue/purple immediately after birth are merely a little too cold. A nice warm blanket, skin-to-skin cuddle and a little baby hat is all that is required for them to "pink up". :)

I found this very moving... The use of an epidural and ptocin in the first pregnancy probably interfered with what could have happened naturally. However that first baby was born it is clear he is adored and well-balanced.

That was amazing!

What a journey from c- section to unassisted birth! What was it that made the difference between the first and the last, was it the trust you had in your body or the way you prepared yourself?
I'm another Momma who had an amazing home birth. I prepared myself body mind and spirit and when it happened I completely trusted it and it was incredible! A beautiful, peaceful, loving, and gentle gift to my baby.

FANtastic,you!!

i don't agree with is the "no prenatal care". i think someone already mentioned gestational diabetes and pre-eclampsia among others. i'm pretty sure you are aware of all the risks that you took which brings me back to my question... WHY? it seemed to me you were gambling with the health/life of your baby and yourself (you could've bled to death) to fulfill a personal experiment or goal.

It didnt say NO prenatal care. I did my own. Pre-eclampsia and gestational dibetes all have symptoms to watch for. I had no symptoms. I did not take this decision lightly nor did I go into it in an uneducated fashion. I researched for 4 years.
