It's certainly a nice piece- and the way it was used in the show, I cannot imagine anything more appropriate. Just perfect.

Someone left a comment on one of the OSB posts that this music made the hair stand up on the back of their neck. Ditto.

This little gem spooked me when I was 6, and I'm happy to say, nearly 50 years down the road, it still does!

I read somewhere that this piece was written originally for an episode of the Loretta Young Show but was later used for One Step Beyond. How appropriate and hauntingly beautiful it is.
