  • I was there. Went down for Fall Break w/ my girlfriend. I thought it was a great race. Everybody in the stands realized Dario was going to win once Dixon and Briscoe went into the pits and we were all awestruck. I think half of us just stood around for 10 minutes afterward trying to figure out what we had just witnessed. It might have been boring on TV but man was it great in person

  • VERSUS talked with Dario for awhile and even showed this race again one day later.

  • I understand that Indy Car goes to different countries, and they are probably on a budget, but why can't they have a larger schedule, I was seriously devastated when Indy Car quit going to Nashville to go to Barbar, and I live about 50 miles from Barbar, and 150 from Nashville, I should be happy with the schedule change right? Indy Car should go to both.

  • i love how the top three were so far ahead of everyone in the championship, and then they almost lapped the entire field twice in this race. They were clearly the class of the field the whole year.

  • i really enjoyed this race, im always suprised that people think it was boring. what more could you want? it was an intence battle between three cars. i think its a shame the track owners dont do squat to promote this event and its likely to go away. i guess im the one guy who likes homestead and would like to see it stick around

  • @PeterMayer

It´s not just about structural strength but also about the strength of the human body. Drivers blacked out in practice for the Texas 600. On´t want that to happen again. Anyway we can want the past back but it´s not going to help. I hope to hear from you in 2012 when you´ve watched an Indycar race again.

  • @Quintinohthree How so? Too fast for these cookie cutter 1.5 high banked ovals? Also, they we're structurally stronger than these crapwagons.

  • @PeterMayer

I don't mean the CART Indycar series wouldn't have survived had Tony Georgew never existed. Just that those cars would today be considered too unsafe.

  • @Quintinohthree Um, if that jackass wouldn't have done what he did, CART would still be around, far more interesting. These cars are a joke, ugly. I don't even know when the dumb races are on. The ratings are in the toilet, they are on Versus which most people don't get.

  • @PeterMayer

2012 probably. Not exactly CART but those wouldn't survive today either.

  • When these cars become as cool looking, sounding, and performing like CART was, then I'll be back. Not until then. Which might be a lonnnnnggggggg time..........
