@port2344chester I'm from White Plains. I also used to listen to CD 101.9. I even won a contest from them and had my name mentioned on the radio. I have many "cassette tapes" with jazz music from this beloved radio station.

Well if you love this one you are going to love the original song Broken Dreams by El Debarge from his Gemini album 1989.It has a funky bass and a sax solo out of this world.I love this quincy sound anyway,Its hard to choose wich one I like more. I would risk my right hand the ending keyboard solo here is Debarge.Such an underrated musician.Most peole think of hima s a falsetto singer..he's a master composer keybaordist

@port2344chester - I know...I had noticed that they were playing songs that weren't "smooth jazz" and thought it strange. Didn't realize it was the beginning of the end of CD101.9. I agree...free radio will soon be history. So sad.....
