A single source node (red) has a message for the destination node (blue). The message can only be passed when a node comes within communication range of another. How long will it take for the message to be delivered? The answer can be found in my recent paper titled, "A Reaction-Diffusion Model for Epidemic Routing in Sparsely Connected MANETs."

  • Hi,

what's the name of tool used in simulation?

    Thanks :-)

  • @manitou1984 I wrote a simple C++ program to move the agents and pass messages when appropriate. Data from each run is written to a file that is later read into Matlab for analysis and plotting. The movie is also from Matlab.

  • In a true ad-hoc network scenario, all the nearby nodes would maintain connection information for their specific trees, then once those trees are eventually joined, the message would be transferred.
