@lhoward360 Very few people ever did benefit from slavery, unless you were a land owner in the south, which the vast majority of people were not. However, the reduced cost of goods did supply America with the resources to sell goods cheaper, which was good for the economy. But, what is the full potential that you speak of? When will Blacks take PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY for THEIR actions? Slavery was wrong and evil and blacks should have never allowed themselves to become slaves (I'd die before I would be a slave, but that's just my personal constitution), but it's time for blacks to blame themselves for their failures or successes, not soul food or whites.
