ok to add a little bit more. A sharper blade will allowed the weight of the axe to do the work, which will give you more control. However with a sharper blade you have to remember to respect it even more.
Long story short, please be more careful

Im not trying to criticize you in a mean way, but i have to make something clear to you. If that piece of metal is actually sharpened, treating it like you were in this video as a great way to cut off your hand. From the looks of it its not that sharp, which makes it even more dangerous, with a dull edge you have to put more power behind it, which you were, and with more power comes less control, which you can see @ 0:45 where it almost breaks through the side, on the other side its your hand
