The Thomas Crown Affair is a 1999 heist film by John McTiernan. It is a remake of the 1968 film of the same name. It stars Pierce Brosnan in the title role, a self-made billionaire who steals a painting and is tracked by an insurance investigator played by Rene Russo. Great film.

The only thing I disliked about this movie was how Catherine instantly suspected Thomas for the theft.

Some of your fave movies could be remakes and you might not know about it, they've been around since the 1920's. The Maltese Falcon was a good example of a remake to a crappy 1931 movie and 1941's version was better

this version is so much better than the original, everything about it is better, especially the cast (brosnan is the coolest guy in the world)!!
the plot is much better in this one too, the painting is much better than the usual bank theft!
